CHEP announces leadership changes in EMEA and Latin America

  • David Cuenca appointed to the role of President, CHEP Latin America
  • Enrique Montañes, new Senior Vice President for CHEP in Southern Europe

CHEP, the supply chain solutions company, has announced changes to two senior leadership positions in the CHEP pallets businesses in EMEA and Latin America.

David Cuenca has been appointed President, CHEP Latin America effective as of 1 July. David will oversee CHEP’s pallet operations across 12 countries, including the Automotive and Containers pool in Brazil.

David brings 18 years’ customer service and general management experience to his new role to help support CHEP customers tackle their future challenges. Having joined CHEP in 2000, he has held several leadership roles in Europe, including Vice President of CHEP Southern Europe, his role for the past two years.

Mr Cuenca said: “I am really excited to take on this new responsibility and to keep building a deep understanding of the local markets through working closely with customers in the industries we serve. I look forward to watching CHEP Southern Europe and its customers thrive under Enrique’s leadership.”

Enrique Montañes Garcia will replace David as Senior Vice President of CHEP Southern Europe. In this role he will provide strategic and commercial leadership for the region which covers Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. Enrique will also lead CHEP’s European Customer Administration function.

Enrique joined CHEP in 2003, and has held a range of senior roles including Senior Vice President, Europe Supply Chain, for the past four years, with responsibility for leading the safe and efficient operations of CHEP’s European Service Centres and managing logistics across the CHEP network in Europe. This experience gives him an unrivalled understanding of our products and network. Prior to joining CHEP he held key positions in leading global professional services company Accenture.

Mr Montañes said: “After 25 years working in supply chain management this opportunity provides a great avenue for me to use this experience to benefit our customers across Southern Europe. I am looking forward to leading our region at a time of significant change in consumer demand and expectation”.
