{"id":15301,"date":"2013-07-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-07-16T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.soundpr.it\/post_news\/twitter-per-la-tua-vita-e-per-il-tuo-business-a-scuola-di-cinguettii-con-lino-garbellini\/"},"modified":"2019-09-24T13:03:04","modified_gmt":"2019-09-24T11:03:04","slug":"twitter-per-la-tua-vita-e-per-il-tuo-business-a-scuola-di-cinguettii-con-lino-garbellini","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.soundpr.it\/en\/consigli-e-tendenze\/twitter-per-la-tua-vita-e-per-il-tuo-business-a-scuola-di-cinguettii-con-lino-garbellini\/","title":{"rendered":"Twitter for your life and for your business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A project I have recently worked on has led me to learning more about one of the most important social networks around: Twitter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SOUND PR supported the Italian journalist Lino Garbellini with some PR activities aimed at promoting his book \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fag.it\/libro_twitter_per_la_tua_vita_e_il_tuo_business_38997.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter per la tua vita e per il tuo business<\/a>\u201d (Twitter for your life and your business)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">First of all, of course, I read the book and I delved into the Twitter world, by following the author&#8217;s advice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Whereas Facebook is often used by people for more private and intimate conversations and LinkedIn is the leading business community, Twitter is the best social platform to spot trends or leading topics\u00a0 and to find people who share mutual interests.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From a professional point of view, Twitter is a powerful and effective tool to quickly get in touch with bloggers, journalists and experts so it is the best way to get influencers involved, as long as you know how to build up an outstanding digital credibility and to catch your followers&#8217; attention on a daily basis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moreover, Twitter is a great tool to promote your business since it gives you the chance to share contents, ideas and comments, to identify emerging trends and to provide clients with an effective support.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Twitter has a great potential and there are several ways of using it for professional purposes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are interested in looking into this topic even further, I would recommend to read Lino Garbellini\u2019s book or\u2026to contact Sound PR for a tailored consultancy \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However before ending this blog post, I\u2019d like to share with you some Twitter&#8217;s basic Do\u2019s and Don\u2019ts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3 MUST DO on Twitter:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; <strong>using the trend topics to enter conversations<\/strong>, when appropriate, providing added value<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; <strong>Catching people\u2019s attention:<\/strong> getting down to the nitty-gritty and being concise on Twitter isn\u2019t enough. You have to catch users\u2019 attention in less than 140 characters (in fact, it is better to leave space for RT)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; <strong>Using lists in an efficient and creative way<\/strong>: gathering users on the strength of topic issues, kind of job, level of influence etc\u2026; managing the information flow; visiting the public lists of other users to discover new profiles to follow. Being part of eminent lists is furthermore important to improve the web reputation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3 MISTAKES TO AVOID while using Twitter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<strong>Being self-referential<\/strong> by sharing only contents related to your own brand. Talking more about your audience and less about your company is key to attract more followers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; <strong>Improvising:<\/strong> you\u2019d better understand language, tone and rules before you start using Twitter for your business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; <strong>Using Direct Messages to spam: <\/strong>in the long run, it doesn\u2019t pay.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This experience has enriched my knowledge and skills and I was thrilled about learning something new from an expert.
