{"id":15267,"date":"2013-07-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-07-08T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.soundpr.it\/post_news\/risalire-la-china-quando-tutto-sembra-perduto\/"},"modified":"2019-09-24T13:03:04","modified_gmt":"2019-09-24T11:03:04","slug":"risalire-la-china-quando-tutto-sembra-perduto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.soundpr.it\/en\/ispirazioni\/risalire-la-china-quando-tutto-sembra-perduto\/","title":{"rendered":"How to get back on top when everything seems to be gone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>When sport gives us a lesson for life\u2026and for business!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhile reading the post written by <a title=\"blocked::https:\/\/twitter.com\/rsullivanlaw\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rsullivanlaw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rob Sullivan<\/a> <strong><a title=\"blocked::http:\/\/www.lawyerology.com\/2013\/06\/11\/when-you-think-youve-got-nothing-left-in-the-tank-keep-going\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lawyerology.com\/2013\/06\/11\/when-you-think-youve-got-nothing-left-in-the-tank-keep-going\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201cWhen You Think You\u2019ve Got Nothing Left in The Tank\u2026.\u201d<\/a><\/strong>, a recent incident came into my mind to confirm that, as Sullivan highlights, when you think that you have no more energy and courage to face hard times, unexpected resources may come up, helping you to push beyond your limits.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a member of The North Face PR team in SOUND PR, I attended the 2013 edition of<a title=\"blocked::http:\/\/www.ultratrail.it\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ultratrail.it\/\">\u00a0Lavaredo Ultra Trail<\/a>, one of the hardest European trail running races that took place on June 29th in Cortina D\u2019Ampezzo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 118 km path was reduced (so to speak!) to 85 km due to wintry conditions.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"color: #ff4b33; line-height: 24px; font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.soundpr.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/dentrotestolut2_ok1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6213\" title=\"Ultratrail Cortina\" src=\"https:\/\/www.soundpr.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/dentrotestolut2_ok1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"196\" height=\"295\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The unexpected last minute changes did not affect the enthusiasm of the 745 international runners ready to start the race at 8.00 on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among those enthusiastic athletes, two great U.S.A. champions, part of THE NORTH FACE team: Mike Wolfe e Mike Foote, featuring an amazing career and at their debut in this race.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mike &amp; Mike (this is the nickname that was given them by their supporters\u2019 crew I was part of!) got off to a flying start and quickly led the race, reaching the half way Misurina check point (42K) in 1st and 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0position! But then\u2026something went wrong as sometimes happens in sport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Due to course changes, the two American athletes lost their way, and continued off course towards the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, covering an additional 6 km and accumulated height gain of 500 meters.
