The report focuses on how non-stop access to data and applications is central to the digital enterprise transformation made possible by the wide adoption of cloud-based computing strategies. As such, Ovum identified Veeam as the clear market leader in the technology necessary to stay competitive in the fast evolving Cloud driven world.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the largest enterprise to the single-employee business, knowing that company data can be accessed from anywhere and at anytime, that it is protected and recoverable even during a potential failure is expected in the modern world today,\u201d said Peter McKay, President and COO at Veeam. \u201cGoing forward we see a new, more complex layer of capability the Cloud era brings to the data equation. That is what we are innovating on and why Ovum, along with more than 215,000 of our customers around the world, recognizes Veeam as a leader.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The criteria for inclusion in the latest Ovum Decision Matrix is based on a number of factors: global footprint; ability to offer data availability and protection capabilities that enable management of data across all different types of media; having more than 500 customers (a mixture of mid-sized enterprises and large enterprises). Ovum also compared each vendor on three dimensions: technology, execution, and market impact.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Based on this, Veeam is the market leader in terms of market impact and technology innovation, with a mean score of 8\/10, out-scoring all others in this area.
