No VC funding, simply profitability.<\/strong> Veeam Software was created with no outside investments, using funds generated after the sale of Aelita Software by Andrei Baronov and Ratmir Timashev to Quest Software, which was then acquired by Dell. Since its creation, Veeam has showed consistent growth, with 2015 revenue hitting $474 million and Q2 2016 results showing 38 percent year-over\u2013year growth.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Why October 10? <\/strong>October 10 is one of the most significant dates in Veeam history. This was when the first Veeam product \u2013 Veeam FastSCP for VMware ESX Server \u2013 was announced (in 2007). Since then Veeam has come a long way following the path of innovation and now has 8 products available, <\/strong>with 3 more on the way and 4 updates to major products planned in Q4 2016.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Backup vs Availability.<\/strong> Veeam pioneered the Availability market, being the first to recognize and address the Availability Gap. In 2014, Veeam announced the findings of its first Availability report<\/u>, showing CIOs the importance of data Availability for the modern Always-On Enterprise. The recent 2016 Veeam Availability Report<\/a> included insight of 1,140 senior IT decision makers (ITDMs) across 24 countries, finding that the cost of downtime has a staggering $6M within a 12 month period.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. Worldwide recognition.<\/strong> Veeam won its first VMworld award in 2007, and was subsequently victorious in multiple categories for four years in a row. Always-On with VeeamON.<\/strong> Veeam\u2019s first appearance at a global event (VMworld) happened in 2007, and seven years later in 2014 Veeam organized its own Premiere Data Center Availability event \u2013 VeeamON <\/em>in Las Vegas. The first conference gathered 1,300 attendees with 27 percent international attendees from 44 countries. VeeamON 2015 continued this success with nearly 1,800 delegates. New Orleans, Louisiana will be the home of VeeamON 2017<\/a>, taking place between May 16-18.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. Going local.<\/strong> In addition to the global event, Veeam also conducts a series of VeeamON Forums<\/a> around the globe.
